Shannon Wright

Whether as a singer, songwriter, or musician, Shannon Wright has an uncanny knack for finding and building upon the best parts of a song. Bypassing the unnecessary frills and gimmicks, she instinctively finds the epicenter of the emotional content. In speaking about Shannon’s intuitive abilities and authenticity, legendary songwriter Paul Kennerley described it best… “you can hear the teardrop in her voice.”
Shannon spent many years recording with her husband Adam as The Wrights, touring the country and releasing four critically acclaimed albums. In more recent years she has assembled a list of recording and writing credits that includes country music icons Lee Ann Womack, Alan Jackson, and Trisha Yearwood, bluegrass staples Balsam Range and Special Consensus, and a host of other artists across the roots music spectrum. Her musical resume also includes dozens of appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, a nomination in 2019 for IBMA Song of the Year, and a long list of television and film placements ranging from ABC’s Nashville to Sons of Anarchy to Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.
